In the battle of Australia’s Waugh brothers, ODI format was the one where Mark Waugh outclassed his twin brother, Steve Waugh. Mark Waugh will always be epitomized for his silky-smooth strokes which gave heavenly sights to the human eyes. Those who saw him bat were often mesmerized with his classical and glossy shots which were more than pleasing in comparison to Steve’s repertoire of strokes which were utterly based on dogged grit and technique. Although, the latter ended up as bigger player in stature for the Baggy Green.
The third highest run-getter and the second highest-centurion for Aussies in ODIs, Mark scored 8,500 runs and 18 centuries respectively.
