Adam Craig Gilchrist showed the world that Wicket-keepers, are perhaps, not only meant to stay in action from behind the stumps but they can turn into a showman in-front of the stumps as well. Gilly was that sort of opener in ODIs who can take away the game from the opponents in matter of few overs, as such was his barbarous batting skills. The destructive left-hander will be best memorized for his 36-ball 54, 48-ball 57 and 104-ball 149 runs in the Finals of 1999, 2003 and 2007 World Cups respectively.
In 286 ODIs, Gilchrist whammed 9,595 runs at an average of almost 36 with a strike-rate of 97, which was match-winning, to say the least.
