The eminent San Siro in Italy functions as the home ground for two of the biggest clubs in Europe- AC Milan and Inter Milan. The stadium  built in 1929 boasts of a seating capacity of 80,018. In 1980, the stadium received another name – Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, as a part of honouring the legendary Italian striker Guiseppe Meazza, who was a two time World Cup winner.

When the Milan Sports club dematerialised into forming AC Milan and Inter Milan in 1926, agreement was made by both clubs to use this stadium as their home ground. The inaugural match in this stadium saw Inter Milan beating AC Milan in emphatic fashion.

It hosted six games in the 1990 World Cup Final and also held three Champions League finals- 1965, 1970 and 2001. San siro will also host the 2016 Champions League Final. However, Inter Milan and Ac Milan finished 8th and 10th respectively in Italian Seri A which saw an average attendance of around 36,000.
