Chris Gayle has some special connection with Kings XI Punjab at Bangalore, which he fondly refers to as his second home. Overall, the Caribbean hunk has plundered two centuries against the Kings at M Chinnaswamy. This is the first one which came in IPL 2011. In this swashbuckling knock, Gayle was seen hitting some monstrous sixes and was just unstoppable, to say the least.
The left-hander had reached his hundred off merely 46 balls. It is mother of all co-incidences that when Gayle scored his second century against the same opponent; Punjab at the same venue in 2015, he took the same number of deliveries to score his ton like he had in this innings. The dasher pounded 107 runs off 49 deliveries and slammed 10 fours and 9 sixes in this particular astonishing inning.
