Kohli has a knack of putting up some really big partnerships in the Indian Premiere League. In IPL 2012 against Delhi at Feroz Shah Kotla, he put up a commanding performance in partnership with Chris Gayle.
The dashing duo of Kohli and Gayle put up a gargantuan 106-ball 204 run stand for the second-wicket and led RCB to a total of 215 runs. Though Kohli played second fiddle to Gayle but yet his 53-ball 73 was momentous for Bangalore in setting up the huge target for the hosts. The 27-year old hit away 9 fours and a six and maintained a strike-rate of 137 in the course of his unbeaten innings.
