This was Kohli’s fourth IPL century with all of them coming in this season only. Run-machine has 10 words in it and so has Virat Kohli, and now both seems interchangeable as well.
And this was the best of his centuries in terms of balls as it came off merely 47 deliveries, and is his fastest T20 ton till date. This was a swashbuckling innings by the RCB skipper and he perished on 113 runs off merely 50 deliveries with a whopping strike-rate of 226. He had struck 12 fours and 8 sixes in the marvelous innings which also saw him becoming the first batsman to cross 4,000 run-mark in IPL. And mind you, folks, it was a rain-curtailed match and thus only 15 overs per side was possible. Kohli looked as if he can hit every other ball for a four or a six that day with uncharacteristic shots like reverse-sweep coming out of his bat with near perfection.
